Tips for summer oily skin

As the summer weather is arriving. I would like to share some tips and tricks for some of you (including me) who have oily skin!

Carefully choose your moisturizers

Switch to a light weight moisturizer in the daytime, while still using a more nourishing moisturizer at night.

Using a light weight Hydrating moisturizer/serum during the day when our skin typically produces more oil can help reduce the appearance of oil on your skin. I would recommend Skin Essence Organic, Light serum. The extracts and essential oils used in this formula contain natural healing, anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, which help to keep the skin clean and clear, preventing breakouts.

Using a lighter product during the day will also allow you to use your more nourishing products at night, our skin naturally rejuvenates while we sleep, why not help it recover with a boost of nutrients and vitamins. My personal favorite evening serum is Corpa Foras Eclat Citrouille. This bed-time beauty booster soothes and repairs damaged skin by reviving the epidermis with natural anti-inflammatory, antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and natural wrinkle fighters which help restore a youthful glow and diminish fine lines.

Ditch the foundation

Heavy foundations can add weight and oil to your skin especially on hot summer days. Try skipping the foundation and only applying concealer on problem areas (under eye circles or blemishes). If you still want coverage, a tinted moisturizer can be a good alternative to your foundation. I like to use Arbonnes pollution defense CC cream. This particular CC Cream contains mineral SPF and creates a breathable second skin to protect you from everyday pollution as small as PM 2.5 microns, which lingers in the air and can stick to the skin’s surface.
